No worries if you are not fasting!! You can enjoy this halwa, poori and kala chana, anytime of the year! This combo makes an excellent breakfast/lunch platter.

Ingredients for pooris
Gheoun ka atta/ wheat flour ( 2 cups)
Oil ( 2tbsp+ for frying)
Water as required for kneading the dough

Ingredients for halwa
Coarse sooji ( 1 cup)
Sugar ( 3/4 cup)
Ghee ( 3/4 cup)
Water ( 3 cups )
Almonds sliced , a few (optional)
Raisins, a few (optional)
Milk 2 tbsp
Saffron strands/kesar ke dhaage (8-10)
Cardamom pods (5)

Ingredients for kala chana

Kala chana 1 1/2 cup ( a little more than 250 gm)
Water for washing, soaking
Water for cooking 2 1/2 cup
Salt 1 1/2 tsp
Oil 2 tsp

Coriander Powder 1 tbsp
Haldi/turmeric powder ( a pinch)
Red chili powder 1 tsp ( mine is mild)
Amchoor powder 2 tsp
Anardana powder 1 tsp
Roasted cumin powder 3/4 tsp
Hing 1/5 tsp
Sounth/Dry ginger powder 3/4 tsp
Kashmiri Lal mirch 1/2 tsp
Whole cumin seeds 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/4 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Desi ghee 1 tsp
Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
