1. ½ cup moong dal
2. ½ cup rice
3. ½ cup dried coconut (copra) grated
4. 1 cup avarekaalu (hyacinth beans)
5. 1 onion finely chopped
6. 1 tomato finely chopped
7. 3 green chillies chopped
8. ¼ cup coriander leaves chopped
9. 1 tea spoon cumin seeds
10. ½ tea spoon whole pepper corns
11. ½ tea spoon turmeric powder
12. ½ lemon juice
13. Salt to taste
14. 1 table spoon oil
15. 2 ½ cups water
